Welcome Letter for Room 208
August 22, 2018 (Edit)
Welcome students and parents/guardians,
We are back for another school year. Hopefully, the summer break was fun!
To get things started, my name is Mr. Felber and I am the 5th grade homeroom teacher in room 208 this year. In our classroom we will be studying ELA and Social Studies. Some quick notes:
Students were provided a Student Planner. This is where your child will write his/her daily homework and behavior grade. You are asked to sign his/her homework and behavior daily. This is to ensure that you are aware of the homework assignments and daily behavior grade. Please check it daily. If the planner is lost, it is the parent’s responsibility to purchase another from the school as quickly as possible.
Red Folders. Red test folders will go home every Wednesday. Included in this folder will be weekly test grades and any important memos or paperwork that is sent from the office or the teachers. Parents are to sign and return the test packets and sign the back of the folder every Wednesday. If a test packet is not returned or lost, the student will no longer be allowed to take home graded tests.
Class Website: Another way to keep up-to-date on the class website. I will post information about the units we are studying in class, any big assignments, and extras resources to help students. Please visit our class website regularly for updates.
Please keep me updated on changes or important events in your student’s life to better help us help the student and build a strong community.
My e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org
You may text me with quick questions or about absences, I will call and/or text all parents soon to let you know how the first few weeks of school are going. Please keep in mind that I will NOT answer texts during class.
